Film Location Availability

Our large houses are also available to be used as filming locations themselves. Set in idyllic locations with fantastic vistas and lots of timeless character they are suitable for use in many types of TV show or drama. Whether you’re looking for a classic country pub (The Anchor), an 18th Century Coaching Inn (River Wye Lodge), or a picturesque Edwardian villa (Holly Tree House).

One of our houses has a unique connection to one of the classic films of cinema too. Fairlea Grange was built by the father of Ethel Lina White, who wrote the original novel on which Alfred Hitchcock based one of his most celebrated movies, The Lady Vanishes. This Gothic Townhouse was the childhood inspiration for many scenes in the author’s books, which at the time rivalled Agatha Christie. This house still retains much of the character that would suit a period piece requiring such a location.

If you’re interested in using any of these houses as a location please get in touch and we’ll be happy to arrange a visit.
